The Ceado Hoop is a brewing method designed to make filter coffee preparation simpler and more consistent.
Unlike a V60, it does not require a precise pouring technique. Water is distributed through the brewer and passes evenly through the coffee. Simply add the coffee, pour in the water and let the extraction take place.
Compact and easy to use, it works just as well for people discovering filter coffee as it does for anyone looking for a straightforward everyday brewing method.
At Ten Belles, we brew the Hoop with 20 g of coffee for 300 g of water.
Pour the full 300 g of water in one go, within the first 20 seconds of the extraction.
No bloom, no agitation. Then simply let the coffee drain through.
The target extraction time is 4 to 5 minutes.
If the water flows through too quickly, grind slightly finer. If it flows too slowly, grind slightly coarser.
All you need is a filter, freshly ground coffee and a suitable support.
